Abstrakt
Communism and other great totalitarian systems collapsed
before our very eyes. Contemporary times are the time of the
„challenge of the Antichrist” and common, „hidden apostasy of
the sated man” . In difficult times, Priest Primate „owed strength
to Mary, Mother of Christ” (John Paul II, Warsaw cathedral,
2 June 1979) . The Polish pope claimed that the Lady of Jasna
Góra taught him to be the man of entrustment. Besides, he
spent his whole life and service adopting the principle „Totus
tuus, Maria”. This Marian aspect of experiencing faith, the
Church and its universality is one more gem that John Paul II
left during his first pilgrimage to the Fatherland in 1979. We
can bravely proceed forward since Holy Mary is on our side.
