Wybrane middle range theories of mass communication jako narzędzie interpretacji procesów komunikowania politycznego państw dojrzałej demokracji. Medioznawcze i politologiczne studium przypadku Wir schaffen das!
Abstrakt
The purpose of this paper is to show a fairly wide area of
use of the selected middle range theories of communication
(gatekeeping, theory of news values, framing, spiral of silence)
as useful tools for interpreting processes of political communication.
The author appeals to the political discourse of German
Chancellor Angela Merkel on refugees, launched by the famous
slogan Wir schaffen das! The time study covers the period from
08/31/2015 to 02/28/2017. The author uses the system analysis
method and the content analysis method. The research
material is the texts published on the „Wirtualna Polska” portal.
