CONCERN FOR MIGRANTS IN DOCUMENTS OF THE CHURCH AND IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CURRENT MIGRATION SITUATION IN POLAND RELATED TO THE ARMED CONFLICT IN UKRAINE
Abstract
In this article, we would like to present the concern for refugees that has always been present in the Church. Documents devoted to this issue, both historical and recent ones are presented. Then, the indications of the Church and their putting into practice are presented in the current context of the migration crisis in Poland related to the conflict in Ukraine. The first stage of the reception is openness and hospitality, which is currently being implemented. Pastoral care is a challenge due to the fact that most refugees belong to a different rite or religion.
