THE EUROPEAN UNION – FRAGILE OR STRENGTHENED?

Abstract

The benefits of European integration include among other: an access to the internal market, management of development funds under the cohesion policy, and improvement of geopolitical security. Recently, the advantages of integration have been undermined by successive crises affecting the EU and inadequate anti-crisis policies of Brussels, Berlin and Paris. It can be easily showed that at present the most harmful to the EU is the left-wing principles of organizing the public sphere, imposed on national democracies, which must be resolutely opposed in order not only to maintain the EU but also actually strengthen it.
