ETHICAL ASPECTS OF MANAGERS’ DECISIONS IN TIMES OF DESTRUCTION

Abstract

Changes in market conditions (Covid-19, war in the Ukraine) had a negative impact on business. Many companies have to adapt to the new realities by making brave decisions. Managers are therefore faced with a difficult task. In the choices they make, they have to take into account factors whose importance has increased significantly: moral pressure, long-term approach to business, taking into account the social interest and tension between the decisions of state authorities and business entities. Each of these factors contains an ethical premise that must be taken into account in the decision-making process.
