LOWER SILESIA PRIESTS THROUGH THE EYES OF THE SECURITY. HIGHER THEOLOGICAL SEMINAR AND CURIAL INSTITUTIONS IN WROCŁAW 1952–1958
Abstract
Theological seminaries and episcopal curiae were recognized by the state security
authorities as important environments not only in terms of ideology, but also as important sources
of information on the functioning of the universal and particular Church. The first Lower Silesian
clergy members of the seminary and the curia came from different dioceses, it was no different
with seminarians, they also came from various backgrounds. Hence the special emphasis of the
secret police on the full recognition of this area, because it also affected the community of Lower
Silesia to some extent.
