Corruption in the justice system – a case study of penitentiary units (prisons and remand centers) in Wrocław

Abstract

For 17 years, I served as an officer of the services of the Third Republic of Poland, carrying out operational and reconnaissance activities in the organizational units of the General Police Headquarters in Wrocław. I gained experience, among others, in the Criminal Division and the Division for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime. The aim of my publication is to present the existing problem of corruption in Polish prisons and remand centers. Police officers, judges, and prosecutors often participate in this practice.
