When reflecting upon the topic of patriotism and civic virtue
found through analyses of the remarkable pastoral legacy of St.
John Paul II, one should reflect on the most general premise,
i.e. the Christian belief he worshipped. The Holy Bible hides
many intuitions which somehow affirm the stance of love towards
one’s own motherland and active care for its prosperity
perceived in light of Revelation. Here, let us recall one detail in
the Bible that, although not directly connected to these reflections,
without a doubt constitutes some sort of inspiration to
become aware of the meaning of citizenship.
