TOPICALITY OF THE EDUCATIONAL PRINCIPLES OF THE PREVENTIVE SYSTEM OF ST. JOHN BOSCO

Abstract
The process of preparing of young people for adult life is called upbringing. In actual fact, an education accompanies human being on the way of development towards full humanity. It consists in guiding young people in such a way that – on the one hand – they would be able and willing to activate all their talents and advantages. On the other hand, they should be able to counteract all threats that may distort or stop their personal development. The preventive system of St. John Bosco seems to be a very good educational tool. It is built on three simple principles: first on the understanding, then religion, and of course love. These principles are fundamental for Christian education.
