PARTICIPATION IN THE EUCHARIST AS A HELP IN BUILDING THE MARITAL COMMUNION

Abstract
Socio-economic conditions strongly affect the quality of interpersonal relationships, which are more and more often characterized by changeability, superficiality and fragility. The contemporary civilization context obfuscates the understanding of family life as space enabling the building of authentic and deep marital bonds. The religious dimension is an area that helps build a relationship on rules that are constant and unchanging. Spiritual reality is not conditioned by human norms that can be freely interpreted and changed. The sacrament of marriage before the Creator makes believers want to fulfil their agreement, guided by His instructions. An important element of the spiritual life is the practice of common prayer. Among the sacraments that shape sensitivity to the presence of God is the Eucharist, which becomes a school of true love for the spouses. Discovering and carrying out God’s plan helps in the authentic development of mutual love, building the marital communion and personal fulfilment. The witness of living together becomes an inspiration for other spouses in discovering the significance of God’s presence in human life.
