Pionierska działalność franciszkanów w Kołobrzegu po II wojnie światowej

Abstrakt
The aim of the article is to show the efforts of the first Franciscan
pastor and his successors to take the pastoral care of the
Catholics coming from different parts of Poland to Kołobrzeg.
After the Second World War there was a great migration in
Poland. Franciscan friars took part in this process when they
were moving from central parts of Poland to so called Recovered
Territories where they started to create the structures of the
Church.
The author describes detailed pastoral activities of the friars
(preaching, catechization, sacramental ministry) as well as their
care taken to secure and restore church buildings destroyed by
the war.The conclusion states that the Franciscans, however successful,
were not only not supported by the state authorities in
their pastoral activities but were even facing the hostility and
efforts aimed to stop them.
