Artificial intelligence in higher education: a moral and social perspective.

Abstract

This article presents a moral and social analysis of the application of artificial intelligence in higher education, focusing on the benefits and risks associated with its implementation. It explores how AI can support the personalization of learning, the development of digital competencies, and the inclusiveness of education, as well as the potential threats posed by the automation of teaching, the erosion of interpersonal relationships, and violations of privacy. The analysis is grounded in ethical principles such as human dignity, solidarity, and justice, which provide the basis for practical recommendations aimed at fostering the responsible and balanced use of AI in academia.
